Program to help Building Automation System providers adopt BACnet Secure Connect<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BACnet International has announced the launch of a program providing building automation system (BAS) suppliers with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet\/SC) in their products and solutions. BACnet International is an industry association that facilitates the successful use of the BACnet protocol in building automation and control systems through interoperability testing, educational programs and promotional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BACnet Secure Connect is an addendum to the BACnet protocol recently released by the ASHRAE BACnet Committee. It is a secure, encrypted datalink layer that is specifically designed to meet the requirements, policies and constraints of minimally managed to professionally managed IP infrastructures. The need for using standardized and often already present IP network infrastructures for BACnet communication is increasing, and this security is a critical piece in the networking of building technologies (Building Internet of Things \u2013 BIoT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From this program, building automation system providers will derive the following benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
