Opportunity to learn about tools and technologies for BACnet testing
Atlanta, GA. – July 31, 2018 – BACnet International has announced that the world’s first International BACnet Testing Symposium will take place October 6 – 7, 2018 at the University of New Hampshire’s InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). The symposium is being sponsored by BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) and the UNH-IOL.
Those involved in BACnet product testing for quality assurance or BTL Certification, engaged in test tool development, or just have an interest in BACnet testing will be able to learn, share and connect with experts from around the world. Thought leaders, technical experts, quality assurance engineers and highly experienced BACnet testing organizations will come together to review the state of the art and explore the future of BACnet testing.
“The BACnet Testing Symposium is a unique opportunity to discuss, network and dig deeper into BACnet testing solutions,” said Andy McMillan, president and managing director of BACnet International. “Attendees will get to share best practices, enhance their knowledge, and discover the latest methodologies and methods they can then bring back to their teams to improve their own testing capabilities.”
The symposium will include a day and half of educational sessions, discussions and networking opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with experts from around the world, including Duffy O’Craven (BTL manager), Emily Hayes (BTL coordinator and chair of the BTL Working Group), Mike Osborne (chair of SSPC-135) as well as founding members of the BACnet community.
Registration for the BACnet Testing Symposium is currently open and can be accessed at here. For more information, please visit iol.unh.edu/bacnet or contact info@bacnetinternational.org.

About BACnet International
BACnet International is an industry association that facilitates the successful use of the BACnet protocol in building automation and control systems through interoperability testing, educational programs and promotional activities. BACnet International oversees operation of the BACnet Testing Labs (BTL) and maintains a global listing of tested products. The BACnet standard was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has been made publicly available so that manufacturers can create interoperable systems of products. BACnet International complements the work of the ASHRAE standards committee and BACnet-related interest groups around the world. BACnet International members include building owners, consulting engineers and facility managers, as well as companies involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of control equipment that uses BACnet for communication.
